You can help yourself and others at the same time by doing like Mike! In addition to what he has raised for outside sponsorship and donations, Mr. Finley has donated against his own participation running in the RTO with his proceeds going to help fight childrens cancer as a part of Team CVI. If giving were a candle he’d be burning it at both ends! Way to go Mike, and good luck with the run. Feel the burn!
The Reno Tahoe Odyssey (RTO) is a 178 mile relay race run on foot, beginning in Reno and working its way through the areas of Reno, Truckee, Lake Tahoe, Carson City and historic Virginia City. The 36 individual legs of this run take runners from a starting altitude of 4490 feet above sea level to a dizzying upper limit of 7334 feet and, after several climbs and descents, brings participants right back to where they began in downtown Reno. RTO dedicates their proceeds to two local non-profits, the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) and the Tahoe Pyramid Bikeway. I know everyone is pulling for Team CVI to tear up the course!
