The Free Them 5k Run/Walk to fight human trafficking is a tangible way to take a stand against one of the most horrific crimes of our generation.
On May 7, 2016, Eileen Suico, her husband, daughter, and a few friends joined 1,600 participants to run for World Concern’s Free Them 5k for the continuous work to protect children from becoming victims of human trafficking.
The purpose of this run is to educate and raise awareness on how to help protect women and children from being trafficked. Funding will be for World Concern’s trafficking prevention programs, which protect the poor and vulnerable, providing opportunities for education and to earn income safely. This event raised over $200,000.
Eileen and her family spent the day to help raise funds to prevent this growing, international problem from becoming even more pervasive.
