Corporate Visions helps to support Shoe4Africa! Sarah’s huband, Ross McMahan, will be running in the NY Marathon with PepsiCo team for the benefit of Shoe4Africa. PepsiCo will be the lead sponsor for a team of 60 runners this fall.
The foundation is in the process of raising money to build one of the first dedicated children’s hospitals in Africa. As you will see from the web site, there are a ton of cool people involved. The actor Anthony Edwards (Goose on Top Gun, ER, etc) is a huge part of this organization, as are actors like Hugh Jackman and many others. They will all be involved with the PepsiCo team.

This month Lisa Cummings has donated once again to Blue Dog Rescue.
Why does this organization deserve funding?:
This is a special donation for a dog called Peaches Honeyblossom. She had no
hair and terrible burns covering her body…just roaming the streets in near
death condition. Now she’s on her way to the good life because of Blue Dog
Rescue.
Blue Dog Rescue is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to end the
needless killing of homeless dogs. In 2006, Austin killed over 12,000 dogs,
cats, puppies, and kittens at one area animal shelter alone. Many of them were
healthy, well-behaved animals who could have made someone a wonderful pet. They
were killed because there wasn’t enough room to keep them until homes could be
found for them.
Blue Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, funded by donations,
fundraisers, and adoption fees, that works to find permanent, loving homes for
homeless dogs in the Central Texas area. All donations are Federal Tax
deductible.

In May, Barbara Dewes generously donated to the Tahoe Safe Alliance in order to support tutoring program for high school students. Tahoe SAFE Alliance is a community-based organization providing direct services to victims of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, child abuse and other individuals in crisis. Tahoe SAFE Alliance believes that every person has the right to live a life free of violence. The agency works to empower victims in reclaiming those rights by providing safety, advocacy, support, and education. Tahoe SAFE Alliance is currently the only agency providing assistance to victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault in the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee region of California and Nevada and owns/operates the only safe house in the community. All services are free of charge and provided in both English and Spanish.

Joe Terry gave a grcious donation to Samaritan’s Purse this July. Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love. Their emergency relief programs provide desperately needed assistance to victims of natural disaster, war, disease, and famine. As we offer food, water, and temporary shelter, we meet critical needs and give people a chance to rebuild their lives.
The community development and vocational programs in impoverished villages and neighborhoods help people break the cycle of poverty and give them hope for a better tomorrow.
